Payment Terms

B Series Contracting use an online timesheet management system called Astute Payroll.

On signing and return of the contract, B Series Contracting will provide you with log on details and information on how to use Astute Payroll.

All online timesheets submitted will be approved for payment by a nominated "Approver". This will ensure that all hours are accurately accounted for and the timesheets are processed for payment.

Please note that no timesheets or payments will be processed until the required approvals have been made. We will provide you with a complete record of all timesheets approved for payment and notification of timesheets that require approval.

The timesheets are to be approved before 4:00pm on the following Monday. You will be invoiced weekly and payment is required within fourteen (14) days of invoice.

The client must pay the Contractor Fee according to the number of hours or days as agreed worked by the Contractor for the Client. Invoices are produced weekly based on the actual hours or days worked by the Contractor as evidenced by an authorised timesheet.

We may vary the Contract Fee at any time without notice due to variations to any award or agreement applicable to the Contractor, or any statutory charges, levies, taxes or other payments we are lawfully required to make, or for any charges for which we may become liable in respect of providing a Contractor under this agreement.

Why Contracting?

Contracting is a rapidly growing human resourcing practice for companies in the resources, manufacturing,  engineering and construction industries. Almost one million contractors across Australia are enjoying the flexibility, variety and development opportunities that come with working in non-permanent roles, and employers are benefiting from reduced costs, workforce flexibility and improved productivity.

For Employers

Employers who supplement their existing staff with skilled contractors enjoy a variety of windfalls. Contract hire offers a cost efficient recruitment strategy, saving employers from long term salary commitments and the associated expenses of leave, superannuation and training.

Contractors often represent a more efficient method of staffing projects that require specialist skills and experience, extra resources at select stages, or replacement staff when permanent employees are on leave. Contractors also offer the advantage of being able to start immediately, already equipped with the needed skills.

Contractors are efficient and productive, motivated by more short term KPIs, regular contract reviews and hourly payment schedules.

For Contractors

Often it's the best of the best that outsource their skills through contract arrangements, putting them in strong demand. Contractors find changing environments stimulating and learn from new and varying experiences.

They are appreciated for their specialist skills and experience, and most often rewarded with higher wages. Contractors are able to move between positions with more freedom putting their career destinies firmly in their own hands.
