My client is a privately owned National Logistics and Transport company that is constantly growing. They are looking for an enthusiastic and thorough Allocator to join their expanding team.

About The Role

The company is currently seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join their logistics and transport team based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. You will be responsible for the allocation and scheduling of up to 11 vehicles to various locations initially working with a VIP contract.

On a daily basis, you will work with a team of logistical personnel and drivers’ ensuring a high level of teamwork and communication is performed so that the product is delivered in full on time and in a cost-effective manner.

Geographical knowledge and the ability to grow relationships with customers and within the business is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transport industry and is looking to join a team where they are willing to grow within the company. They must have the capability to learn and implement the companies’ process and procedures.


  • Daily dispatching and coordination of fleet.
  • Ability to multitask and work to a deadline.
  • Monitor and manage the activities of drivers and loaders.
  • Supervision and leading a team.
  • Dispatch in a fast-paced and high volume environment.
  • Communicating effectively with the team.
  • Resolving any transport disruptions and effectively dealing with escalations of VIP clients.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in a transport and supervisory role.
  • Fleet management experience required two years minimum.
  • Ability to multitask and work to a deadline.
  • Forklift license desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Experience in logistics and transport and warehousing.
  • Flexible attitude towards work and ability to be a team player.
  • Basic Microsoft office, excel and administration skills required.

Monday to Friday role with a company phone provided.


My client is offering an attractive salary of $60,000 -$70,000 plus superannuation.
